Distribuzione

L'unica specie nota di questa famiglia è mwdgendemica della mwdwCalifornia: sono state rinvenuti esemplari sulla mweaSierra Nevada, sulla mweqCatena costiera e nelle Transverse Rangescite-ref-megahexuridae-1-0[1].

Tassonomia

Il genere mwgqmwggMegahexura mwgwKaston, 1972 è stato separato dalla famiglia mwhaMecicobothriidae ed è assurto al rango di famiglia a seguito di un lavoro di Hedin & Bond del 2019. A dicembre 2020 il genere si compone di una sola speciecite-ref-megahexuridae-1-1[1]:
